CNC Machinist Job Description
Resmed is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join our team. As a key member of our precision tooling department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lsr injection moulds and automation using the latest industrial technology.
You will work efficiently on CNC mills, EDM and wirecutting machines producing high-quality parts meeting manufacturing schedules. You will use CAM to create complex toolpaths ensuring parts meet specifications.
You will perform troubleshooting on machines ensuring optimal functionality and review and validate CAM programs and manufactured parts through CMM inspection.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Programming and creating complex CAM strategies, setting up and safely operating CNC machines and other precision machining equipment.
* Mould/tool/& equipment manufacturing, machining, finishing, assembly,& testing.
* Supporting project teams in defining performance specifications or functional requirements for new tooling projects.
* Maintaining accurate documentation on all assigned tasks.
* Following process instructions to ensure safe, repeatable & quality results.
* Using troubleshooting skills to improve and develop repeatable processes.
* Analysing and taking appropriate steps throughout the life of the project to minimize risk.
* Ensuring all activities are carried out safely meeting legislative requirements, company policies and ISO requirements.
* Delivering high-quality tooling projects safely to clients worldwide.
* Performing ad-hoc duties as required.
* Achieving on-time delivery of tooling projects meeting expectations and supporting business growth plans.
* Transferring new moulds, tools, technologies and processes to Resmed manufacturing successfully.

Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
* Five years experience creating complex CAM programs for mould tooling.
* Five years CNC machining experience.
* Broad understanding of CNC machining & cutter technologies.
* Experience with plastics injection moulding.
Preferred:
* Qualifications in CNC programming, toolmaking, machining, or engineering.
* Minimum four years in a toolmaking environment with direct & relevant experience in CNC programming.
