The Role
You will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Representing the Company for the sale of products and services to customers in a defined sales area.
- Maintaining current product knowledge on features, applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
- Participating in trade shows, drive green events and on farm demonstrations and assist with the preparation and execution of customer events.
- Maintaining current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
- Establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate current business for the organisation’s products and services.
- Making telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Following a defined sales process and logging all sales activity in CRM.
To be successful you will need
- Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred.
- Proven previous sales experience within the agricultural, car, truck or real estate industries will be considered favourably.
- Excellent customer relationship skills and ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving.
- Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Current and valid driver’s licence.
