The Team
The North West Cancer Centre, Burnie, provides comprehensive specialist outpatient Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Clinical Haematology Services to the North West Tasmanian Community.
- The North West Cancer Centre (NWCC) plays an active role in cancer education and research within Tasmania.
- The NWCC is affiliated with the Northern Cancer Service with it situated in the North West Regional Hospital complex and provides direct access to a range of medical, surgical and hospital services required to deliver quality, person-centred cancer care.
The Role
Northern Cancer Service Hospital Aid provides essential non-clinical support across oncology and radiation services within the North West Cancer Centre. As a Hospital Ward Aid, you will play a key role in supporting the nursing team in delivering high-quality care to patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily ward activities, maintaining and ordering ward stock, following infection control practices, safe cytotoxic waste practices, and ensuring a well-organised setting for both patients and staff.

Details of appointment
Multiple permanent part time, day worker positions, working up to 38 hours per fortnight, commencing from 1 February 2026.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
