About the role
Permanent part-time opportunity to work in partnership with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families, to provide expert child health knowledge and care for women, children and families receiving care under the Ngarrama Midwifery Group Practice.
This involves role modelling and application of the principles of contemporary evidence-based family-centred care, education, leadership, and portfolio management.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Support change management principles by providing culturally sensitive support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role-modeling and promoting cooperation and collaborative teamwork.
Apply advanced clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of family-centred care.
