AWS Developer

Clearance: NV1 security clearance is mandatory
About the Role
As an AWS Developer you will design, build and maintain cloud‐native applications and automation within a secure, large‐scale environment. You will work closely with DevOps, architecture, and software engineering teams to support digital transformation and cloud optimisation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deploy applications on AWS using best‐practice cloud architecture
* Create and maintain Infrastructure‐as‐Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK
* Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
* Implement scalable, secure, and cost‐efficient cloud solutions
* Support system modernisation and cloud migration activities
* Troubleshoot cloud‐related issues and contribute to continuous improvement
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams
About You
* Strong hands‐on experience with core AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.)
* Proficiency with IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK)
* Programming experience in Python, Node.js, or Java
* Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or Jenkins
* Understanding of cloud security and governance frameworks
* High attention to detail and excellent problem‐solving skills
* Current NV1 security clearance (mandatory)
Highly Regarded
* AWS certifications (Developer Associate or higher)
* Experience with Docker, ECS, or EKS
* Exposure to microservices and event‐driven architectures
