Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to support the maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing and installation of electrical, automation and power generation systems across our processing and manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control systems and instrumentation used in tyre recycling and material processing operations
* Assist with the operation, maintenance and testing of industrial generators, backup power systems and associated electrical switchgear
* Support the installation, commissioning and testing of electrical and automation components, including PLCs, sensors, variable speed drives, motors, conveyors and generator control systems
* Perform electrical fault finding, testing, calibration and technical reporting to ensure plant safety, reliability and operational efficiency
* Read, interpret and work in accordance with electrical schematics, control diagrams, single-line diagrams and technical manuals
* Implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical equipment, automation systems and power supply infrastructure
* Work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance and operations teams to minimise plant downtime
* Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, electrical safety regulations and environmental standards at all times
Selection Criteria
To be considered for this role, applicants must demonstrate:
* A formal electrical trade qualification (Certificate III or equivalent) or recognised Electrical Engineering Technician qualifications
* Proven experience in electrical maintenance within manufacturing, processing or industrial environments
* Practical knowledge of PLC-based control systems, industrial automation and power distribution systems
* Experience assisting with or maintaining industrial generators, standby power systems or plant electrical infrastructure
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings and safely conduct testing, fault diagnosis and equipment commissioning
* A strong commitment to workplace safety, compliance and effective communication
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
