Role Description
We are looking for an experienced freelance grant specialist/ grant writer to help ESG Custodian identify, pursue and secure relevant grants across the Australian funding landscape.
You will have proven experience in:
* Proven experience securing grants for Australian businesses, startups or scale‐ups
* Strong knowledge of the Australian grant landscape, including federal and state‐based programs
* Experience with grants relevant to technology, AI‐enabled SaaS, sustainability, climate, innovation, R&D, commercialisation and/ or impact‐led businesses
* Demonstrated success in writing winning grant applications
* Ability to quickly understand complex commercial and technical propositions
* Strong business writing and storytelling capability
* High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
* Commercial judgement by knowing which grants are worth the effort and which are not
* Ability to work independently and proactively with limited oversight
We need someone who can bring structure, strategy and execution, with focus on securing funding, not just writing support. Ideal background: Australian grants, climate tech/AI‐enabled SaaS, innovation, sustainability, scale‐up funding.
