Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Officer to join our team. As an Environmental Health Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing professional and technical assistance, information, advice, and reports to management on all matters related to public and environmental health.
* Processing various applications and applying appropriate public health, environmental health, and environmental conditions.
* Undertaking various inspections and monitoring activities in accordance with statutory obligations and operational procedures.
This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
* Tertiary level qualification - Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent acceptable to regulatory bodies.
* Three to five years' experience as an Environmental Health Officer.
* Eligibility for appointment as an authorised person under relevant legislation in relation to control of noise, illegal dumping, and unauthorised discharges.
* Familiarisation with the use of sound level measuring equipment.
