Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Exercise Physiologist role based in Darwin, NT. The Exercise Physiologist will design and deliver personalized exercise and health programs to clients, focusing on chronic disease prevention, health promotion, and improving quality of life. Responsibilities include assessing clients' physical health, providing tailored exercise plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care. The role requires a commitment to empowering clients and supporting diverse populations, including those in rural and remote communities.
Qualifications
* Experience and knowledge in exercise prescription, assessments, and health promotion programs.
* Skills in client consultation, program customization, and progress monitoring.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and engage with diverse clients.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or a related field, and accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with ESSA (Exercise & Sports Science Australia).
* Understanding of culturally safe and inclusive healthcare practices, particularly for working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* First aid and CPR certification, and a valid driver's license.
* Experience in rural or remote healthcare settings is an advantage.
