Job Title: Financial Support Specialist
About the Position
Momentum is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance operations, you will play a vital role in supporting our State Finance Manager and broader operations team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting and finance, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for assisting with end-of-month reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure processes.
You will also provide SAP system support, including updates, reporting, and data reviews. Additionally, you will undertake inventory and cost review tasks with the finance team, and provide occasional reception and cash office coverage when required.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as a high level of attention to detail and time management ability.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with end-of-month reporting, including journals, general ledgers, and reconciliations
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure processes
* Provide SAP system support, including updates, reporting, and data reviews
* Undertake inventory and cost review tasks with the finance team
* Provide occasional reception and cash office coverage when required
* Assist operations, purchasing, and finance stakeholders with administrative and financial queries
Requirements:
* Degree in Accounting/Finance with practical experience in a similar role
* Demonstrated experience posting journals and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
* Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (highly desirable)
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* High attention to detail, strong time management, and ability to work independently
* Willingness to learn, contribute to a team environment, and support continuous improvement
