THE ROLE:
Austrade's Client Programs Branch delivers grant programs to assist exporters and businesses across Australia. The government recently announced an $18.5 million targeted regional tourism support package. As a senior grants officer you will assist in program design and end-to-end delivery of the grants under this package.
The Package Includes
* $10 million for the Reef Educational Experience Fund including a rebate program for school excursions to the reef, support for local reef operators and funding for Tourism Tropical North QLD.
* $8.5 million to support tourism in Central Australia including resilience grants for local tourism operators, a tourism development fund and funding for Tourism Central Australia.

Duties Include
* Program design work including stakeholder consultation, drafting grant guidelines and other key documents, defining program objectives and outcomes, identifying and managing risk.
* Liaising with grant applicants and other stakeholders across the program life cycle, providing technical advice on the eligibility criteria and helping to resolve issues and complaints.
* Assessing the eligibility of grant applications and milestone reports and making recommendations to the Grants Manager supported by evidence and analysis.
* Maintaining accurate information and data on SmartyGrants and other internal systems and spreadsheets.
* Extract and analyse data and prepare quality reporting materials for senior management.
* Negotiate and prepare grant agreements for successful applicants, assess milestones and process and report on milestone payments.
* Utilising technology and undertaking administrative tasks to support consistent, efficient and compliant management of grants.
