Transport Allocator & Compliance Officer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Allocator and Compliance officer to join our Sydney team and efficiently manage the daily planning, allocation of trucks, and scheduling of runs. If you have a passion for logistics and ensuring the smooth flow of freight, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
* Planning and monitoring fleet movements
* Allocating freight for transportation
* Booking and coordinating driver runs
* Managing driver hours
* Ensuring CoR and Fatigue Management compliance
* Coordinating and communicating with drivers to ensure they understand all allocated tasks
* Supporting day-to-day operations to ensure customer satisfaction
* Working closely with warehouses and clients to maintain effective customer relationships
Key Requirements
* Experience managing or coordinating a fleet of 10+ vehicles (HR to MC)
* Strong understanding of CoR and Fatigue Management
* Good knowledge of Sydney locations and suburbs
* Minimum 3 year's experience in a fast-paced transport administration, warehousing, distribution environment
* Excellent attention to detail
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport
* Willingness to learn, resilience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Previous proven Allocating experience
* Excellent communication and negotiating skills
* Accurate and efficient data entry skills
* Positive & friendly attitudeAbility to take ownership for a seamless service
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
* Available for early starts
* Ability to work in a close-knit working environment
* Ability to react to schedule changes
* Previous experience in Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and Fatigue Management also desirable
QUALIFICATIONS
* Proven track record in coordinating dispatch operations and meeting customer delivery KPIs.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and carriers.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and performance reporting.
* Strong commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and urgency.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
* Understanding of Chain of Responsibility, HSE compliance, and risk management principles.
* Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement and operational discipline.
