Nestled in the heart of the bustling city center, YHA Fremantle boasts 49 rooms offering a stay steeped in history and stories of the old Fremantle Prison. Constructed in the 1850s, this unique lodging is the only one in Western Australia to hold the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Status. For the thrill-seekers, an overnight stay in an actual prison cell awaits! Additionally, the hostel caters to those seeking more comfort with a newly built section featuring private en-suite rooms for a touch of luxury.
About the role:
We're seeking a part-time Front Desk Extraordinaire - someone with a vibrant spirit and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves fostering a friendly and lively atmosphere, responding to guest inquiries with helpful local insights, ensuring seamless check-ins and check-outs, and offering vital information to ensure a pleasant stay. Additionally, the successful candidate will resolve any guest concerns or disputes, escalating them to management when necessary.
Our close-knit team also provide support to other areas of the hostel from time-to-time so we're looking for someone who is flexible and a team player!
What are we looking for:
- Previous experience in front desk reception, customer service in an accommodation setting
- Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Flexible availability 24/7 roster including night shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Full Australian working rights with no restrictions
