The Quality Controller role will successfully develop, implement, review, report and improve policy and procedures, ensuring the safe and compliant operations of the NIOA Munitions Integrated Management System (IMS). The IMS comprises all aspects of ISO9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environment, ISO45002 Health & Safety, ISO27001 Security Systems, and Manufacturing.
Role Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement policies for the safe and compliant operation of the Benalla Facility.
Train and motivate staff and ensure compliance.
2. Support the development and ongoing maintenance of relevant management plans and procedures.
3. Review, report & recommend actions relevant to quality control and compliance for auditors and management.
4. Support relevant accurate inputs and outputs to the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
5. Use quality control tools and methods, and perform quality checks and tests.
6. Identify potential causes of defects/non-compliances and determine corrective actions to eliminate or reduce risk/defects.
7. Application of configuration management and complaint management of change processes.
8. Effective management of the Calibration Register.
Key Selection Criteria
* Skilled in writing and maintaining procedural, technical, and policy documents with version control.
* Knowledge of configuration control and confident report writing, with proficiency in database management and information handling.
* Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Experience in inspections (incoming and finished goods), compliance, and non-conformance control, including the ability to determine corrective actions for non-conforming products and processes.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification or 10+ years' experience managing quality in medium to large enterprises.
* In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001; additional systems an advantage.
