The Role We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Executive to join our Brisbane team. As part of our national Business Development and Marketing team, you'll be joining a collaborative, high-performing group that's passionate about delivering impactful work, and supporting each other to succeed.
Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Marketing, you'll take the lead on developing and executing strategic marketing and communication initiatives that bring the firm's strategic priorities to life.
With our centenary fast approaching in 2026, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape and deliver firm-wide campaigns that honour McR's rich legacy while helping to position us for the future.
Key responsibilities will include:
supporting the development and implementation of firm-wide communications plans; creating high-quality digital and print assets in Canva and the Adobe Creative suite, including brochures, publications, and event collateral, ensuring brand alignment and consistent key messaging; driving the firm's social media presence, from content creation to campaign execution, including collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify content opportunities and implement social media campaigns and strategies; drafting and editing internal and external communications; acting as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistency across all firm communications in line with our brand guidelines; recommending innovative strategies to enhance our digital and marketing efforts; liaising with internal stakeholders across the firm, including partners, directors and executives, to identify needs and opportunities, and develop relevant strategies; and supporting the maintenance and use of CRM systems to enable targeted communications and client engagement. Experience This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Marketing and Communications Coordinator ready to take the next step, or a Marketing and Communications Executive/Adviser looking to build their experience in a professional services environment.
The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or a related discipline, or bring equivalent demonstrated experience in a similar role.
You'll be a confident, proactive and creative professional, with a genuine interest in supporting the firm's marketing and communications objectives.
You will also bring the following key attributes:
a foundational understanding of SEO principles to optimise digital content; advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite and Adobe Creative suite; additional experience with website management or the WordPress platform will be advantageous; comfortable navigating a range of digital tools and adapting to new technologies with ease; experience with CRM systems and the distribution of EDM campaigns; excellent attention to detail; strong writing and editing capabilities; outstanding verbal communication and presentation skills; experience engaging with stakeholders across all levels; a hands-on, collaborative working style; flexibility and adaptability in managing competing deadlines; a mindset for continuous learning and innovation; and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
