In partnership with the Australia Defence Force, we are seeking **Passenger Transport Drivers** to join the team at **Puckapunyal**, located 10km west of Seymour.
Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, you will provide effective and efficient delivery of transport operation supervision and driving duties within an allocated geographical and client base.
**Key responsibilities of the role**:
- Operate and manage Ventia fleet vehicles, designated Defence fleet vehicles and hired vehicles.
- Provide a transport booking service for self-drive vehicles, driver or driver and vehicle.
- Medical related transport including patients, medical samples and documents.
- Transport of personnel, including taxi/shuttles, school bus runs and ceremonial occasions.
- Transport of equipment and materiel including mail and courier services.
- Assist Transport Supervisor in the management of fuel cards.
- Providing vehicle recovery services at designated locations.
- Daily wash point duties including area cleaning and maintenance, reporting on usage and on call customer assistance.
- Ensure vehicles are issued in a clean, fully functional state, with fuel appropriate to meet the task, with appropriate documentation, road maps/street directories, fire extinguisher and vehicle first aid kits.
- Where required conduct Licensing checks and vehicle familiarisation for 100% of users.
**To considered for this position you will need**:
- Drivers licence applicable to vehicles on site Heavy rigid truck with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
- Heavy Rigid Licence or Heavy Combination Licence, F class (site specific).
- Commercial Passenger Vehicle Authority Licence.
- Qualified and able to undertake driving tasks in compliance with Commonwealth, State/Territory and Local Legislation, Australian Standards and Defence Policy.
- Experience in loading and unloading of cargo and goods.
- Able to work effectively with people from diverse national, cultural, linguistic and religious/spiritual backgrounds.
- Well-developed computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a high degree of motivation, energy, initiative and commitment, with the capacity to deal with multiple and often conflicting priorities.
You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
