Job Overview
Monford Group is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Supervisor to lead electrical commissioning activities on various projects throughout Australia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in supervising teams and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the electrical commissioning process, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
* Supervise a team of commissioning technicians to ensure all tasks are completed according to project specifications and safety standards.
* Prepare and review commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists to ensure smooth project execution.
* Conduct pre-commissioning checks, functional tests, and start-up activities for electrical systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing and commissioning phases.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical issues and provide feedback for design improvements.
* Review and approve test reports, commissioning documentation, and as-built drawings.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
* Provide progress updates to the Commissioning/Engineering Manager and highlight any potential risks or delays.
* Support project close-out activities, including handover documentation and final testing reports.
Requirements
* Educational background in electrical engineering or relevant trade qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical commissioning, preferably in solar farm or large-scale construction projects.
* Proven experience in supervising a team of technicians and subcontractors.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, testing equipment, and commissioning procedures.
* Proficient in using commissioning software and tools.
