About the Role
We're looking for a Full‐Time Electrical Fitter / Tool Repair Technician to run our in‐store workshop, specialising in the diagnosis, servicing, and repair of power tools and compressed air equipment.
You'll work Monday to Friday in a fully equipped workshop, providing warranty support, servicing, and repairs for the tools and equipment we sell.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‐on mechanical and electrical fault finding and takes pride in getting tools back to work quickly.
The more repairs you complete, the more you can earn through uncapped commission.
Your Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Store and Workshop Manager, you will:
* Diagnose faults and repair power tools, air tools, compressors, generators and workshop equipment
* Perform maintenance, servicing and warranty repairs
* Liaise with suppliers regarding parts, technical support and warranty claims
* Order parts and maintain workshop inventory
* Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation
* Provide technical advice to customers and assist the sales team when required
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
* Identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency and processes
About You
To succeed in this role you will have:
* Cert III in Electrotechnology (essential)
* Experience or strong interest in repairing power tools, compressors, and small machinery
* Good fault‐finding and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workshop
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Reliability, honesty and attention to detail
* A willingness to learn new equipment and share knowledge with the team
