Townsville Central State School is seeking applications for a permanent full-time cleaner to join our small, dedicated cleaning team.
This position involves 38 hours per week, worked across split shifts in the morning and afternoon. As the oldest school in Townsville, our campus features heritage-listed buildings set against the stunning backdrop

About the Role
As the Cleaner, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the school by providing a high standard of cleaning support in accordance with the approved school cleaning program. You will be responsible for completing all assigned cleaning duties to a standard deemed acceptable by your supervisor, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Your Responsibilities
As the Cleaner, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Cleaning and maintaining equipment
* Disposal of rubbish and litter control
* Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces
* Removal of graffiti
* Security - activating and disarming school security, locking and unlocking buildings
* Liaise with Principal/Business Manager
* Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Principal/Business Manager
* Complete annual mandatory training requirements
* Be willing to work independently and as a team
