As an Operational Technology Electrical Engineer, you'll join a team that's collaborative, curious, and committed to making a difference. You'll work on cutting-edge projects in Electricity Distribution, Electricity Transmission and Gas Distribution to improve grid control systems and energy delivery processes —across Tasmania and mainland Australia.
Preferably you're based in Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide - however we also support remote working so regional engineers can also apply. Whether you're seeking part-time or full-time work, this role offers flexibility, purpose, and the chance to grow alongside a small team of talented and committed engineers.
What You'll Be Working On
You'll be part of a high-performing team that supports your development and values your perspective. Your work will span:
* Electrical Control Systems including
* SCADA
* Advanced Distribution Management Systems
* Energy Management Systems (Transmission)
* Gas Management Systems
* Generation Management Systems
* Planned and unplanned outage processes to improve energy delivery, reliability and quality of supply to customers
* Integration between control systems and other corporate systems to optimise business processes and reporting
* Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems and data to seek insights and improve customer energy delivery
* Commissioning activities in control systems for new or modified plant
* Testing and commissioning of upgraded systems
* Assisting support teams in the management of the advanced control systems
* Power system modelling and analysis
* Developing and configuring advanced automation systems to complement the network control system

* Power system modelling tools (SINCAL, PSSE, DIgSILENT)
* SCADA and advanced control systems
* AMI Metering Systems
* DER integration and DERMS
* Corporate System Integrations
* Python
* GIS Modelling

* A degree in Electrical, Power or Computer Systems Engineering
