Medical Imaging-Technical, Radiographer – Toowoomba / Darling Downs. Full time.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivery of advanced level medical imaging clinical services within the multidisciplinary team in the Toowoomba region. With guidance from the Toowoomba Region MRI in Charge Radiographer, and in collaboration with the practice Radiographer's in Charge, you will help to coordinate our MRI service by:
* Providing MRI education, training and mentorship
* Participating in the development, upkeep and optimisation of MRI protocols
* Liaising with the clerical team regarding billing and providing clinical advice on appointment diary management
* Upholding MRI safety standards and policies, including implant safety compliance
About You
* Siemens MRI experience preferable
* Level 1 ASMIRT MRI certification is required
* Demonstrated advanced level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in MRI, obtained through significant professional development, postgraduate education or formal qualifications

* Apply advanced professional, clinical judgement utilising advanced level skills, knowledge, experience and clinical leadership to manage, prioritise and organise our complex caseload
* Demonstrate and promote by example, a high level of patient care, compassion and clinical awareness
* Demonstrate a high level of responsibility, accountability and initiative across all aspects of clinical practice and promote a culture of service excellence
Communication / Team Participation
* Work cooperatively and effectively within the team and actively promote a collegiate approach to problem solving and patient care in a positive work environment
* Provide advanced level clinical advice and direction to patients, other health care professionals and clinicians regarding service delivery
* Develop advanced level clinical practice expertise by actively engaging in learning within the team and in professional development activities
Leadership
* Participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the service delivery in line with recognised organisational pathways
* Provide education, competency training and mentorship to promote skill development to other members of the team
* Be recognised as a resource for clinical advice and consultation within the area of expertise
* Where required, be able to perform higher duties in area of expertise during periods of absence of the relevant modality senior
Safety and Quality
* Apply to clinical practice the standards set by the mandatory Queensland X-ray quality and safety training modules and policies
* Report equipment faults and issues and help coordinate equipment service requirements
