About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, forward thinking Finance Officer to support the financial operations of our NDIS and allied health services. Reporting to the CFO, this role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate NDIS billing, financial compliance, and timely reporting in line with NDIS Price Guide, funding rules, and organisational policies.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple finance functions and thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Process NDIS billing, claims, and reconciliations through the NDIS Portal and/or Practice Management Systems
* Ensure accurate invoicing in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and service agreements
* Manage accounts receivable and payable, including active debtor management, follow-up of outstanding invoices, and resolution of billing discrepancies, including provider payments and participant invoicing
* Reconcile NDIS funding, service delivery records, and revenue reports
* Prepare and lodge BAS and manage GST obligations
* Support month-end and year-end financial processes
* Maintain accurate financial records to meet audit, NDIS Quality & Safeguards, and funding requirements
* Respond to internal and external finance queries, including participant and plan manager enquiries
* Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors as required
* Contribute to continuous improvement of finance and billing processes
* Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger entries
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial, taxation, and regulatory requirements
About You
You are highly organised, detail-focused, and understand the importance of accuracy and compliance in a regulated environment.
Essential Criteria
* Demonstrated experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts, or Bookkeeping role
* Strong understanding of Australian accounting and compliance requirements
* Experience using accounting systems and practice management software
* High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical conduct
* Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders
Desirable
* Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping (or working towards)
* Experience with NDIS billing, funding reconciliation, or disability/allied health finance
