Purchasing effectively is crucial for an organisation's success.

This role facilitates efficient purchasing operations, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with supplier agreements. You'll also support ongoing improvements and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.


Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare purchase orders and obtain necessary approvals in accordance with company policy
* Compare suppliers and costs to inform smart purchasing decisions
* Verify deliveries and check goods against invoices and orders; address any discrepancies promptly
* Keep accurate procurement records to meet audit standards
* Collaborate with the Procurement Team to identify sourcing opportunities and cost savings
* Familiarise yourself with the Procurement Policy and Source-to-Pay processes
* Manage purchase orders, invoices, and new supplier onboarding in Coupa
* Respond promptly and professionally to supplier and customer inquiries
* Nurture strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and reliability
* Monitor supply risks and develop backup plans to mitigate disruptions
* Handle administrative tasks like updating supplier records and supporting reports


Your Skills and Experience:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with SAP experience highly valued.
* A thorough understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract compliance.
* The ability to interpret and apply organisational purchasing policies and procedures accurately.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
