About the opportunity
* Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Help with mobility, including transferring residents from bed to chair, assisting with walking, and using mobility aids safely.
* Support residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and assisting with special dietary needs.
* Assist with medication reminders and support residents in taking prescribed medications, under the guidance of a nurse.
* Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring and comfortable environment for residents.
* Help maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, including making beds and cleaning rooms.
* Assist with organizing and engaging in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well‑being.
* Respond to residents' requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner.
* Follow care plans as outlined by registered nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
* Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.
* Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

To thrive in this role, you will have
* A minimum Certificate III / Cert IV in Aged Care or Individual Support, or a similar qualification is essential.
* First Aid and CPR Certification (Desirable).
* Evidence of, or the process of obtaining, a recent police check or NDIS clearance.
