Job Title: Long-Range RPAS Pilot
This role is ideal for candidates who hold the required licenses and knowledge in advanced RPAS operations but may not yet have extensive BVLOS experience. You will report directly to the Chief Remote Pilot (CRP) and operate as part of a professional, safety-focused flight crew.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct EVLOS and BVLOS missions with RPAS platforms under supervision and guidance.
* Support mission planning, risk assessments, and execution of long-range survey operations.
* Operate in compliance with regulations, company conditions, and safety management systems.
* Assist the CRP and senior pilots with operational documentation and safety reporting.
* Develop skills in advanced mission planning, LiDAR and photogrammetry survey workflows, and autopilot systems.
* Travel across Australia for flight operations and client projects, with occasional overseas assignments if required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Certifications:
* CASA RePL (sub-25kg rating)
* Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC)
Skill Requirements:
* Familiarity with mission planning software, GIS tools, and computer-based workflows.
* Sound knowledge of EVLOS/BVLOS operations and regulatory frameworks.
* Willingness to travel for work.
* Must hold valid car driver's license.
* Must hold valid working rights in Australia.
Desirable Qualifications:
* RePL with Powered Lift category endorsement
* Knowledge of BVLOS SORA application processes.
* Familiarity with Ardupilot or similar autopilot systems.
* Knowledge of LiDAR and photogrammetry survey planning.
* Current or past crewed aviation license (fixed wing).
