ABOUT THE ROLE
As Document Control, you will play a critical role in supporting project delivery by ensuring all documentation is accurate, controlled, and accessible throughout the project lifecycle. You'll manage the flow of project documents, maintain document management systems, and ensure teams are always working from the latest approved information.
Working closely with engineers, project managers, contractors, and external stakeholders, you'll coordinate document distribution, maintain version control, and support audits and project handovers.
KEY DUTIES AND TASKS
* Establish and maintain the project Document Management System (DMS)
* Register, track, and control all incoming and outgoing project documents
* Manage version control and document revisions
* Distribute documents in line with distribution matrices
* Support audits and ensure document compliance and quality
* Prepare documents for archiving and project handover
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
* Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or related discipline (preferred)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems (Aconex, SharePoint, Documentum)
* Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 3 years' experience in document control within mining, construction, or engineering projects
* Strong understanding of project lifecycle documentation
* Knowledge of document control standards and best practices (e.g. ISO 9001 )
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment
