Role

The primary focus of this role is to assist the Grain Accumulation Manager with the day-to-day activities of Grain Accumulation, scheduling and logistics.

Day to Day activities include:

* Coordination of Grower deliveries by organising trucks and booking in loads to ensure timely deliveries to the Mill for core products including milling oats, field peas, faba beans, wheat, and barley
* Where required, assist in direct grower negotiation for accumulation of the sites core products
* Liaising with Mill Managers regarding product quantities required for weekly/monthly production
* Liaising with storage sites to assist in planning deliveries considering fumigation plans, seasonal limitations, and costs
* Timely communication to keep the Grain Accumulation Manager abreast of schedules and timelines
* Build relationships with freight providers to develop freight options
* When required attend grower meetings and assist the Grain Accumulation Manager in the procurement program
* When required enter grower contracts and grower information into Prosoft XP
* When required assist with making phone calls, sending emails, and attending site visits with growers
* Assist with keeping grower database up to date
* Assist with competitor analysis
* Assist Grain Accumulation Manager with storage sites to assist in harvest receival activities including (but not limited to) pricing, grain quality and competitor activities.

Skills Required

* 2-5 years' experience in the agricultural, grains accumulation or grain logistics industry
* Tertiary education or completion of some further study in either business administration or logistics would be valued
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent time management and organisation skills
* Prioritise and handle multiple tasks effectively
* Experience/understanding of agricultural supply chains
* Tech savvy and able to understand and grasp new concepts quickly.
