The Opportunity
Western Sydney University is seeking a Strategic Workforce Intelligence Lead to steward the University's workforce data domain and embed robust, enterprise-wide governance. This role provides authoritative leadership across workforce data standards, definitions and quality controls, ensuring the organisation can rely on consistent, accurate and trusted information for strategic decision making.
You will partner closely with the University Data Office to maintain domain stewardship and uplift workforce data maturity. The role also owns and assures a finite set of executive-critical dashboards and automated reporting cycles, enabling senior leaders to navigate workforce risk, forecasting and scenario planning with confidence. While the role influences and shapes analytics products across the organisation, operational BI production remains with other analytics teams.

Your work will help strengthen enterprise capability, stabilise key reporting assets and embed a cohesive workforce data environment that supports long-term planning.
What Success Looks Like:
Enterprise workforce data governance is clearly defined, embedded and trusted across stakeholders.
Workforce data quality controls, definitions and standards are maintained and consistently applied.
Executive-critical dashboards and reporting cycles operate reliably, accurately and in alignment with organisational priorities.
Senior leaders receive clear, actionable insights that support workforce forecasting, risk identification and strategic decision making.
Data issues, anomalies and systemic risks are proactively identified, validated and escalated with appropriate enterprise responses.

About You
You bring postgraduate qualifications and/or substantial experience in workforce analytics, HRIS, business intelligence, data science or a related discipline.
You are confident advising senior executives, distilling complex datasets and shaping strategic recommendations.
You have proven expertise in workforce data governance, quality assurance and enterprise data standards.
You are an effective communicator, able to translate complex issues into clear executive-ready insights.
You work autonomously under broad direction, exercising sound judgement in complex and ambiguous environments.
