Join our vastly diverse Northwest division, managing the QA/QC and coating inspections at Rio Tinto’s Cape Lambert iron ore project, 40 kilometres north-east of Karratha.
THE ROLE
This opportunity will suit a knowledgeable inspector in delivering the day-to-day inspecting and reporting operations.
Duties include;
* Complete QA/QC Coating Inspections to applicable Australian and International standards
* Undertake visual inspection after abrasive blasting and before coating
* Inspect after coating application for coating defects
* Carry out surface profile tests
* Create coatings inspection reports
* Provide technical advice and assistance to the project team
* Preparation and implementation of project quality management systems
* Coach and mentor team members to deliver Abrasive Blast and Protective Coatings to the client’s specifications
ABOUT YOU
* NACE 2 qualification - minimum requirement
* Construction white card
* Experience in the construction and/or mining industry with blasting and painting
* Strong team player, proactive and reliable with high safety standards
