About the Opportunity As a key member of the design and engineering team the HVAC Designer will provide support to the Design and Drafting of a vessel from concept through to delivery. What’s Involved Produce accurate and high-quality HVAC design documentation that meets procedural, regulatory, and audit requirements. Ensure HVAC systems comply with relevant regulatory authorities, specifications, and customer requirements. Provide technical support and maintain professional relationships across engineering, production, and project team Champion innovation and cost-effective solutions, actively contributing to process improvements and waste reduction. You’ll Need Diploma of Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent Refrigeration & Airconditioning Technical (Tradesperson) Vessel design in accordance with technical requirements A solid understanding of Production methods and the practical application of design Knowledge of regulatory body Rules and Regulation requirements Technical knowledge of Air-con, heating, ventilating and ducting products Why Austal Competitive compensation and benefits package.
