As our client base grows, we are expanding our team and seeking a Senior Accountant who is not just technically sound, but deeply client-centric.
This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality client experience and seamless service delivery. You will take full ownership of client management responsibilities, working directly with our clients and coordinating with our India-based team to deliver excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Communication & Relationship Management
* Respond to all client emails within 24 hours.
* Handle client queries via phone, SMS, and WhatsApp promptly and professionally.
* Conduct meet-and-greet sessions with existing and new clients (virtual or in-person).
* Onboard new clients smoothly, setting up systems, expectations, and timelines.
* Act as the first point of contact for all client needs, ensuring high satisfaction.
Client Advisory & Reporting
* Understand client business models and financial needs.
* Review and present monthly/quarterly management reports, tax summaries, and financial statements.
* Conduct tax planning meetings, ensuring clients are informed and compliant while saving tax efficiently.
* Identify opportunities to add value, upsell relevant services, and guide clients toward financial goals.
Collaboration & Delivery Management
* Coordinate with the India-based accounting and tax team to ensure accurate, timely delivery of client work.
* Ensure deadlines are met and quality control checks are done prior to client submission.
* Support CEO in strategic reporting and system improvements for client experience.
In-Person Activities
* Attend face-to-face client meetings across Australia as needed
* Participate in team retreats, networking events, and internal workshops occasionally.
Ideal Candidate ProfileMust-Have Skills & Qualities
* Minimum 5–7 years of experience in an Australian public accounting firm.
* Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, BAS, GST, payroll, and the NDIS Industry.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Client-facing experience and ability to build rapport with business owners.
* Proficient in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and reporting tools.
* Strong attention to detail, time management, and follow-through.

* Experience working in a hybrid or remote setup with international teams.
* Ability to think like a CFO – understanding the story behind the numbers.
* A warm, reliable, and proactive personality who genuinely cares for clients.
* Comfortable presenting data and explaining financial concepts to non-accountants.
