The Team:
The George Town Hospital team works closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role:

In collaboration with members of the healthcare team, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care.
Interact effectively with patients’/clients’ families and other health team members to facilitate the provision of optimum patient/client care.
Actively participate in maintaining and continually improving the quality of patient/client care, including involvement in research and evidence-based practice.
The George Town District Hospital and Community Services provide 15 acute care beds, physiotherapy, dental and podiatry services, and other visiting providers. Other services include Palliative care, Community Nursing, Home Help/Personal Care.
Nursing quarters are available on-site for staff, with shared kitchen and bathroom amenities.
George Town Hospital is approximately a 35-minute drive from Launceston, located centrally close to supermarkets, eateries, and a five-minute drive to the beaches of Low Head.

Details of appointment:
Fixed-term, casual position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies.
Salary:
$78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer contributes 11.5% superannuation on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Access to the Grade 4 salary range ($99,455 - $105,995) is subject to successful progression to Grade 4. Additional allowances, such as Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10%, may be available based on qualification type.
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary packaging options, including living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, along with other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants must meet the essential criteria:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
Current Driver’s Licence.
