Our Infusion Unit, the Thompson Unit, is looking for a full-time (Monday to Friday) ward clerk to join our team. You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a pleasant experience during their admission.
As a Ward Clerk, your responsibilities will include:
* Greeting all customers with care and compassion to make patients and families feel comfortable during their hospital stay.
* Working collaboratively with nursing staff and the Nurse Unit Manager.
* Preparing patient files.
* Booking appointments in coordination with doctors' rooms using electronic systems.
* Filing medical records.
* Providing clerical support to the clinical team.
* Liaising with allied health, ward persons, and other hospital departments to facilitate patient treatments or transfers.
* Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Exhibiting good oral and written communication skills.
* Being well-organized, able to prioritize, plan, and work under pressure.
* Working autonomously in a self-directed environment.
* Having previous experience in a medical environment.
* Understanding medical terminology.
* Experience with WebPAS Medical System.
* Experience working in a ward environment.
