Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking to appoint a Laboratory Supervisor / Senior Materials Technician at our NATA‑accredited laboratory located at Marleston.
We are seeking a self‑motivated candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is physically fit and possesses a strong work ethic. The successful applicant will have an impeccable customer focus and be highly motivated and enthusiastic, risk‑aware, and safety‑driven.
Responsibilities
* Perform ready‑mix and quarry materials testing in our lab as well as in the field
* Carry out equipment checks and calibrations
* Ensure Laboratory NATA requirements are maintained
* Daily use of computers and Laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
* Lead our testing team and assist the technical team
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role (CMT is preferred but not essential)
* Hold a Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques (preferred but not essential)
* Display excellent Health and Safety behaviours
* Are physically fit and hold a current driver's license
* Have strong literacy and numeracy skills (written and verbal)
* Are available to work weekends and overtime (when required)
* Maintain a professional work ethic
* Are customer‑focused and have an excellent attention to detail
