PROACT is a fast‐growing facilities management and project delivery business based in Canberra. We are seeking a capable, motivated, and versatile Work Manager to join our team. If you're hands‐on, enjoy variety in your day, and take pride in maintaining high‐quality facilities, we'd love to hear from you. This full‐time role offers a great mix of autonomy, variety, and support, combining hands‐on maintenance coordination with client and contractor management.

About The Role

As a Work Manager, you will coordinate a wide range of maintenance, landscaping, cleaning, and general labouring tasks across both commercial and residential sites. You will play a key role in supporting contract operations, acting as the link between clients, subcontractors, and the management team. This includes ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, issues are escalated appropriately, and works are delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Proven capability in estimating, quoting, and executing minor works
* Manage day‐to‐day facilities operations and maintenance requirements
* Coordinate contractors and engage trades, including site inspections and oversight of works
* Process and track work orders, maintenance requests, and expenditure
* Process invoices and purchase orders, and monitor budgets against KPIs
* Identify, report, and assist in resolving technical issues and faultsSupport facilities‐related projects and improvement works
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with WHS and ACT regulation

About You

* Practical, proactive, and hands‐on, with the ability to work independently
* Strong problem‐solving skills
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and contractors
* Good understanding of building systems, WHS, and compliance requirements (or ability to learn quickly)
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and record‐keeping

Skills & Experience

* Previous experience in facilities management or a similar role
* Strong customer service focus and a client‐centric approach
* Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Experience with maintenance software (e.g. Simpro) is highly regarded
