Short Summary

Looking to kickstart your career in manufacturing and trades? Learn from a brilliant team, get trained in welding, painting, and assembly, and enjoy a 4-day work week in the off-season!

About Us

For over 30 years, Mr Stoves has designed and manufactured premium, industry-leading heating and fireplace solutions, serving families from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast. Based in our Darra workshop, we are a proud local manufacturer dedicated to quality outcomes, practical workmanship, and cutting‐edge low‐emission technology.

We are a small, tight‐knit production team that looks after our own. We believe in investing in the future, which is why we are looking for a motivated junior or entry‐level team member to train from the ground up!

About The Role

This is a true entry‐level role designed to teach you the ins and outs of high‐quality metal fabrication and manufacturing. You don't need years of experience—just a great attitude, a willingness to work hard, and a desire to learn hands‐on skills.

You will start by mastering the essential foundational and repetitive tasks of the workshop to understand how our products are built. As you grow into the role, we will personally train you in specialized production skills, including:

* Product Assembly: Learning how our high‐tech fireplaces come together
* Industrial Painting & Sand Blasting: Mastering the finishing and detail work that makes our products stand out
* Welding & Fabrication: Over time, you'll have the opportunity to be trained in MIG/TIG welding by our experienced tradespeople

What We Are Looking For

We hire for attitude and reliability above all else. This role is perfect for a school leaver, a pre‐apprentice, or someone looking to completely switch careers into a hands‐on trade.

* A rock‐solid work ethic and a desire to turn up on time every single day
* Pride in your work, attention to detail, and a practical mind
* A willingness to listen, learn, and take on feedback from the senior guys
* Ability to work safely and effectively within a small, supportive team
* Any previous experience with basic hand tools or school manual arts is a bonus, but not required!

Why You'll Love Working With Us

* Earn While You Learn: Get paid a full‐time wage while learning valuable, lifelong trade skills from industry experts
* Fantastic Work/Life Balance: Enjoy our lifestyle benefit of a 4‐day work week for approximately 8 months of the year during our non‐peak periods!
* Peak Season Overtime: Opportunities to boost your bank account with extra hours during our busy winter peak
* Real Career Path: We want to turn you into a fully skilled fabricator and a long‐term asset to our business
