We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Controller / Collections Officer to join our Finance team based in Unanderra. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong client relationships while ensuring timely collection of accounts receivable across the business.

About the Role

Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of debtor accounts and ensuring timely payment of invoices. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to resolve queries, maintain strong relationships, and support healthy cash flow across the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and maintain accounts receivable and debt collection activities
* Proactively follow up outstanding invoices via phone and email
* Maintain strong relationships with clients to support timely payments
* Monitor debtor accounts and identify overdue balances
* Investigate and resolve invoice queries and disputes
* Maintain accurate records of all collection activity
* Perform account reconciliations and issue statements
* Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders
* Forecast expected cash collections
* Identify opportunities to improve collections processes and efficiencies
* Provide reporting on collection activity and payment expectations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

* Previous Credit Control or Collections experience
* Strong communication and relationship management skills
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office and finance systems
* A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving

Highly regarded:

* Experience working with construction or infrastructure clients
* Exposure to customised billing, payment claims or RCTIs
* Experience in multi-site or high-volume operations
