Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager - Electrical to oversee the construction and operation of a solar farm & BESS project located near Dubbo, New South Wales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
* Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Implement safety protocols and conduct regular inspections.
* Project Oversight: Monitor progress, quality, and adherence to engineering design and product manuals. Collaborate with contractors to address any issues.
* Communication: Keep the Project Manager informed of progress, challenges, and milestones. Participate in weekly/monthly internal meetings and coordinate with contractors.
* Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Project Manager on project status, risks, and achievements.
Qualifications:
* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large-scale solar farm construction projects or similar renewable energy projects.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools. Strong understanding of electrical systems and renewable energy technologies.
* Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage contractors and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
* Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) and safety (e.g., NEBOSH) are highly desirable.

To be considered, you MUST be a resident of Australia, ideally within 3 hours driving distance of Dubbo. The work will be based on 10-hour day, 5/2 roster. Only Australian or New Zealand citizens or those already holding the appropriate working visas for Australia will be considered.
