Club Helensvale is a progressive community club with modern facilities, incorporating 193 gaming machines, sports, lounge, gaming bar, bistro and function centre.
We are currently seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our skilled and motivated team.
This is a hands-on role, which will involve, stock ordering, staff supervision, managing meal service and function food preparation.
The ideal candidate is someone who has a genuine passion for good food, is very organised, displays leadership and initiative and is looking for a long-term secure role within a great club.
Additionally, this person must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure, during our peak, high-volume service periods.
Involvement in marketing initiatives, monthly specials & menu design, will form part of this role.
Required criteria
* Minimum, Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience working in a similar role within a busy environment
* Demonstrated experience within a high volume A La Carte restaurant and knowledge of function food service
* High level of interpersonal, leadership and team skills
* Professional dress and grooming standards
* Full Australian work rights and availability
