Details: Join Our Team and Build a Rewarding Career in Customer Service and HR Support
Are you passionate about helping others and looking to grow your career in a supportive, collaborative team environment? We are seeking motivated individuals to join our branch in a range of customer service and HR support roles, including Payroll Officers, Salary Packaging Officers, and Customer Service Agents.
To ensure your success, all new team members begin their journey on our highly regarded HR Service Desk, where you will participate in a comprehensive induction and intensive training program. This structured onboarding period allows you to gain a solid understanding of our organisation, our systems, and the people we support.
Upon completion of your initial training, you may have the opportunity to transition into one of our specialised areas, receiving tailored, on‑the‑job training, or continue to develop your expertise on the HR Service Desk. All internal movement is based on operational requirements, ensuring the right support is in place for our customers and our team.
Our Customer Service Agents are the first point of contact for ACT Government employees seeking assistance on a wide range of HR-related matters. Operating within a call‑centre environment, you will engage with customers via phone, live chat, and email, providing timely and accurate advice or directing enquiries to subject matter experts when required.
We are committed to fostering professional development, encouraging continuous learning, and actively involving our staff in the delivery of our team’s strategic objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in HR services while contributing to a high-performing, customer‑focused team.
We are committed to building an inclusive workplace where people of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives can thrive and make meaningful contributions to the ACTPS and the broader ACT community. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people of diverse genders, sexes, and sexualities.
Notes: A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future vacancies over the next 12 months. This role is based in an activity‑based working (ABW) environment, where officers do not have an assigned workstation. The position involves a combination of working from home and office-based duties.
