The role is within the Security Advisory Services business unit of the Defend and Protect capability.
You will lead and deliver outcome-based security advisory work focused on improving Governance, Risk & Compliance capabilities for clients, including assessments against industry standards, and design and implementation of security risk treatments and policies as part of the Advisory Services function.
Responsibilities
Lead and conduct information security reviews and Information Security Management System (ISMS) assessments.
Lead and perform risk assessments and develop remediation plans.
Participate in the creation, review, and update of information security policies and procedures.
Provide sound technical advice, recommendations, and consultancy on networks, infrastructure, products and services.
Provide or assist with technical and process documentation.
Communicate with clients to gather information, discuss security solutions, and provide advice.
Present and explain findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Educate clients on information security principles.
Learn relevant Australian and international frameworks, legislation, and best practices in information security.
Stay up to date with the latest security systems, tools, trends, and technology.
About You / Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT or a related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Ability to apply best practice frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, ASD Essential Eight.
Ability to develop and use the company's methodologies to provide effective security and risk advice.
Ability to articulate business implications and risks clearly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Open-minded and forward-thinking with a collaborative mindset.
Ability to lead programs of work independently within timeframe, scope, and budget.
Ability to work as part of a team with decisions aligned to common goals.
Professional certifications are an advantage (e.g., CISA, CISM, ISO27001, PCIDSS).
