We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services.About The RoleWe are seeking a values-driven Family Housing and Support Team Leader This position leads high-quality service delivery for families and children at risk of or experiencing homelessness within the Family Housing & Safety team.Reporting to the Homelessness manager this is a Permanent, Full-Time role, located in Sunshine, Victoria.You will successfullyService models, standards, and performance targets are documented, communicated to staff, and continuously improved to meet service delivery and funding requirements.Caseloads are allocated, monitored, and supported to ensure effective service delivery, client outcomes, and resolution of complex case management issues.Risk management processes are in place to handle critical incidents, mitigate client and organizational risks, and maintain collaborative relationships with key organizations (e.g., Vincent Care Victoria, TSA Housing Victoria).National Homelessness Stream of Model of Care is embedded in the team to define service expectations, standards, and sector contributions.Liaison with transitional property providers is maintained regarding client support, tenancy, and maintenance matters.Programs and services are managed within budget, meeting funding, legislative, and TSA values requirements, with staff performance supported in a safe work environment.Staff are supervised regularly, performance reviews are conducted annually, and staffing levels are maintained for effective service delivery.Accurate data is collected and analyzed to evaluate service outcomes, with productive team relationships contributing to performance and wellbeing.Communication and handover systems between staff are implemented, and capability development plans improve service delivery and sector representation.A collaborative approach to service delivery and improvement is demonstrated through contributions to projects and research.Relevant legislation, TSA policies, and procedures are adhered to, and duties are performed within skill, competence, and training limits.You will haveTertiary qualifications in Social Work or related community service field.Experience in case management with families who are homeless from an inclusive, strengths-based, client-centred approach.Values-Driven: Alignment with the values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.Flexibility: The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.Experience in managing staff and providing supervision.A National Criminal History Check is required.A current and valid working with Children check.A current and valid driver's licence.What We OfferThe Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including:Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit;Generous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks) & secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave per year to experience working in other TSA programs or activities;Access to Fitness Passport and consumer discounts;Access to EAP and health & wellness initiativesOngoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency;Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers that have positive and sustainable / social impacts.ConditionsCompensation is in accordance with SCHADS 6.1About UsThe Salvation Army (Salvos) is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities.
