Pathway & Access Program Coordinator, UNSW Canberra – Full-time, fixed-term contract (24 months). Location: UNSW Canberra, City Campus, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Remuneration: Level 7 from $113,926.
Responsibilities
- In close collaboration with the Manager, City Central and Activation, implement pathways and access programs into UNSW Canberra undergraduate programs, including the ACTivate program, vocational education pathways and Gateway early access program.
- Collaborate with internal teams, secondary schools, vocational institutions, and community organisations to promote and strengthen pathway opportunities.
- Provide student administrative and support services with empathy and engagement.
- Establish and maintain accurate records and reporting systems and provide administrative support to advisory committees and meetings as required.
- Lead program facilitation and quality assurance, including supporting staffing, and academic and moderation processes.
- Develop and review procedures, manage change requests and communicate risks related to course offerings and program developments.
- Organise regular events, activities and workshops that enhance the student experience and align with broader student life and experience goals.
Who You Are (Qualifications and Skills)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in education program coordination, administration, or a related field with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and refining innovative educational programs that raise awareness for higher education and contribute towards equity and access in education for various groups of learners.
- Strong track record of administrative skills, including compliance, reporting, and quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of ACT secondary education environment and challenges.
- Ability to learn new systems and be self-directed to learn new technologies and online teaching and learning platforms with the capability of integrating technology into participating school systems.
- Highly advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders and to work collaboratively across schools and the University.
- Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to understand and communicate financial information and monitor budgets.
- Ability to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People registration in the ACT and NSW.
