Manager – State Operations
$130,000 plus super, plus vehicle

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic State Manager to support the daily operational needs of a large trailer manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in leading teams (primarily in the automotive or machinery manufacturing), driving sales and overseeing the operational success of the business. Business Involvement
the manufacture and sale of the client's range of plant, tipper, car and box trailers;
the importation and distribution of Brian James Trailers, a premium UK brand used extensively to transport small earth moving and construction equipment; and
the importation and distribution of Riviera Horse Floats, a premium range of horse transport products.
The successful candidate will need to effectively apply their skill set and demonstrate a firm understanding of sales techniques, lead management and organic growth.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies: Create and implement plans to achieve state sales goals and increase market share.
Manage sales teams: Recruit, train, motivate, and coach the sales force to improve performance and meet targets.
Build and manage key accounts: Cultivate strong relationships with major customers and identify new business opportunities.
Forecast and report: Develop sales forecasts, monitor performance against KPIs, and report on sales activity and market trends.
Manage sales budget: Prepare budgets and approve expenditures for sales-related activities.
Strategic planning: Contribute to long-term state and national strategic planning for both sales and operations.
Financial management: Manage the state's profit and loss (P&L), ensuring expenditure and trade spend are within budget.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work with other departments, such as product development and logistics, to align strategies and ensure smooth operations.
To be successful you will need to demonstrate
People skills are a must, and a background in sales or marketing in the automotive, machinery, or horse industries would be highly advantageous.
Knowledge of vehicle licensing in NSW would also be very beneficial.
Minimum 5 years experience at a State management level.
Have a proven track record in sales and customer service.
Have mechanical aptitude.
