Treasury, Markets and Commodities Risk provides line 2 risk oversight of the Group Treasury and Global Markets functions within CBA. This includes the risk domains of Market Risk, Balance Sheet Risk Management, Treasury Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, Capital Management, Stress Testing, Recovery and Resolution Planning. The team includes policy development, independent oversight, reporting, regulatory obligation management, and oversight of market risk models and capital calculation.
This role is in the sub-team focused on Capital and Counterparty Credit Risk Oversight.

Reporting to the Head of Capital and Counterparty Credit Risk Oversight, you will play a pivotal role in supporting senior management in the oversight (review, challenge and accept) of the Group's capital management, stress testing, recovery, exit and resolution plans to ensure that they remain within relevant regulatory requirements and risk frameworks. This role supports Group Treasury in the development, implementation, and communication of its capital and stress testing related strategies.
On any given day you will
* Lead risk oversight of capital management, including review and challenge of capital forecasting assumptions, capital issuance and dividend payment decisions.
* Coordinate risk review of recovery & exit planning and annual fire drill activities per CPS190.
* Provide risk input to APRA's implementation of resolution planning under CPS900.
* Coordinate line 2 review of Group-wide stress tests for both APRA driven industry and internal designed stress tests, including participation in relevant working groups, review and challenge of assumptions and data inputs.
* End-to-end review of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process and related documentation, including papers to Senior Committees and the Board.
* Review of capital and stress testing frameworks, policies, standards and procedures to ensure they are complete and in line with regulatory expectations.
* Drive continuous improvement across the framework for line 2 risk review and challenge across the Group Treasury Capital and Stress Testing function, including the approach to documenting evidence.
* Review of the regulatory obligation attestation, controls and compliance arrangements for Capital, Stress testing, recovery & exit planning, and resolution planning related prudential standards.
Your Experience Looks Like
* Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, economics, statistics or relevant business or quantitative studies.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory capital measurement and reporting, including APRA's capital standards APS110 and APS111.
* An understanding recovery & exit planning, and resolution planning, and related APRA standards CPS190 and CPS900.
* Familiarity with stress testing and its use to test the adequacy of capital and appropriateness of capital decisions and dividend payments.
* Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal to support senior management reporting.
* Strong stakeholder management: able to build trusted relationships across Finance, Treasury, Risk and broader business units.
* A proactive risk mindset, with the ability to identify emerging risks and act accordingly.
