Details: The Infrastructure Development Delivery Branch is seeking a high‐performing Project Officer to join the Major Projects Interface Coordination (MPIC) Unit within City Operations.

Infrastructure Development Delivery (IDD) is responsible for the delivery, review and acceptance of CED municipal infrastructure including:

* delivery of the CED capital works and infrastructure programs for City Operations, ACT NoWaste, Transport Canberra, Libraries ACT, Domestic Animal Services and other business units;
* design review and asset acceptance for offsite works associated with private development; and
* major projects interface and coordination, including the directorate's involvement in light rail and major road projects, encompassing scope and performance requirements, design review and acceptance, and asset handover.

The MPIC Unit provides technical input, coordination and management of City Operations requirements for major transport and roads infrastructure projects delivered by the Infrastructure Canberra Directorate (iCBR). MPIC acts as a central point of contact for projects requiring coordinated subject matter expert input, approvals and decisions from City Operations asset owner teams, and supports quality assurance and compliance across the design and construction phases.

The successful applicant will support the MPIC team in the coordination of major projects and assist in reviewing technical submissions to ensure compliance with relevant design standards, specifications, codes and operational requirements. The role also supports design reviews, construction activities and asset handover processes to ensure outcomes align with City Operations and asset owner expectations.

Under broad direction, the Project Officer will assist with a range of project coordination, technical and administrative activities, including maintaining decision and issues registers, assisting with site inspections, and supporting interface management tasks. The role involves reviewing technical documentation, identifying non‐conformances, and working collaboratively with project teams and asset owners to resolve issues or support escalation where required. The Project Officer will also work closely with stakeholders across City Operations and other government agencies. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

* Relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia; or
* relevant building degree; or
* sound general level of building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of two years with the possibility of permanency. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
