About us: The Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS) works to create and translate knowledge that enables inclusion, equity, health and wellbeing, particularly as they relate to sex, gender, sexuality and relationships. ARCSHS is home to the largest program of LGBTQ health and wellbeing research and knowledge translation in Australia, with expertise in family, domestic and sexual violence, alcohol and other drug use, and mental health.

Rainbow Health Australia is a program of ARCSHS that supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) health and wellbeing through research and knowledge translation, training, resources, policy advice and service accreditation through the Rainbow Tick.

About the role: Join Rainbow Health Australia, as our new Programs and Partnerships Manager. Reporting to the Program Lead, the successful applicant will oversee our sector specific capability building projects, identify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnership and contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and practices relating to project management. We are looking for someone highly skilled and experienced in managing staff and projects, as well as developing and maintaining strategic partnerships.

Duties at this level will include:

* Manage Rainbow Health Australia's portfolio of capacity building projects including projects for in the Youth, Aging and Aged care, Mental Health, Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations sectors, including managing staff and resources.
* Identify and implement strategies to improve processes, support good practice and outcomes for Rainbow Health Australia's capacity- building projects
* Oversee a number of projects, and support staff to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Identify and pursue opportunities for partnership, aligned with Rainbow Health Australia's strategic goals
* Supervise and coordinate staff within the team, to ensure allocation of responsibilities, review of performance and development needs.

Skills and knowledge required for the position

* A bachelor's degree or higher with substantial extension of the theories and principles, learned through experience; or a range of management experience; or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
* Demonstrated experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and a team of staff
* A detailed working knowledge of research related to LGBTIQ+ health and wellbeing, and its implications for service delivery, policy and interventions.
* Demonstrated management and leadership skills with experience in managing and leading staff to promote a cohesive and effective team and managing workflows.
* Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
