Family & Domestic Violence Crisis Accommodation Advocate

This position supports women and children escaping family or domestic violence in an empathetic, timely and effective manner. The role includes assisting clients with safety skills and planning, education and information, referrals and support during a crisis. You will be trained to work across several of our Family & Domestic Violence Support services.
Hours: 60+ hours per fortnight, plus a rotational on-call roster (weeknights and weekends).

Responsibilities
* Support clients with a person-centred approach
* Provide services with empathy and compassion
* Demonstrate effective communication in the workplace
* Maintain a positive work ethic and commitment to the organisation
* Complete clear documentation, case management and case notes
* Work across other Family & Domestic Violence areas
Skills and experience
* Certificate III in community services (or willingness to obtain) or relevant industry experience
* Knowledge of Family & Domestic Violence and its impacts on victim survivors
* Computer literacy
* Knowledge of Wheatbelt towns (travel is required)
* Driver's licence
