CODA Disability Support Assoc. Inc was established in 1989 and is a NDIS registered, not-for-profit organisation. CODA is an organisation that prides itself on the work we do and supports we provide which include - 24/7 accommodation and SIL support; STA and holiday support; Community participation supports; Plan Management and Support Coordination services to adults with a disability living in the extended Brisbane, Ipswich and Bayside areas.

Based in Upper Mount Gravatt, we are seeking a driven and outcomes-focused Human Resource Officer to join our growing Human Resources team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our people practices are effective, compliant and values-aligned — from recruitment and onboarding to performance and professional development. What you will bring to the role:

* A passion for supporting people and creating a positive employee experience.

* Previous experience in a generalist HR role (minimum 1–2 years).

* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act, with confidence to provide guidance on interpretation and application of relevant Modern Awards (SCHADS Award).

* Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes from end-to-end.

* Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally across all levels of the organisation.

* Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.

* Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (Microsoft 365, HRIS, or similar systems).

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

* The ability to coordinate multiple HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and performance processes with limited supervision.

* Well-developed organisation and documentation skills, ensuring accuracy in HR records and reporting.

* An understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks including Fair Work and NES requirements.

* A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to respond to queries and resolve issues efficiently.

* A commitment to continuous improvement and the values of teamwork, respect, and accountability.

* An interest in the disability and community services sector.

Additional Requirements:

* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline (or working towards) preferred.

* Current NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain.

* Queensland Driver’s Licence.

* Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module (online) or willingness to obtain.
