About this Opportunity:
This position involves providing agronomic and technical support to farmers and producers in the region, with product sales both in-store and on-farm.
You will gain exposure to an agriculture area with broadacre cropping, engage and work alongside a team within a well-established business, and be responsible for increasing the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of farming enterprises.
The role requires building solid and long-term client relationships, developing a strong understanding of clients' business goals, and sharing technical and market information to enable clients to improve their performance and sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining relationships with existing customers
* Targeting new clients through superior sales and agronomic input
* Staying up-to-date with latest plant production practices
* Coordinating field days and farmer meetings
About You:
We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and application, a minimum 4-5 years of experience building enduring and successful partnerships with customers, and a history of success in executing sales outcomes using specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed, and chemical products.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills, hold a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field, and possess a current driver's license.
This is a rewarding role that requires experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertilisers.
